Bailey Sellers and her beloved father Mike were the best of friends. The hilarious and loving father also acted as Bailey’s basketball coach for 12 dedicated years.
When Bailey was 16, Mike was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. And just a few months later, he died. “I cried, I was numb,” Bailey said, “but it was kind of like a weight lifted off my shoulder in a way, because I knew he was no longer in pain and in a better place.”
Three months later, Bailey turned 17. On her birthday, the grieving teen from Tennessee received an unexpected flower delivery — from her dad.
The bouquet arrived with a handwritten note from him that sent chills down her spine: “You will receive these until your 21st birthday. I love you. Dad.”
Before he died, Mike arranged to send birthday flowers every year until she turned 21. Every year, Bailey posted her birthday bouquets on social media, then received her final bouquet on her 21st birthday.
Final bouquet… or so she thought. With Bailey’s 22nd birthday fast approaching, Rachael Ray decided to step in and give her a tearjerking gift.
