Brenda and Buzz Clark are lucky to be alive. As the deadly wildfires spread through their California neighborhood, they managed to drive through the flames and make it to safety.

During their terrifying evacuation, Brenda and Buzz witnessed cars melting and exploding, people screaming with their hair on fire, and families frantically trying to escape the destruction.

The couple’s house was destroyed, and they are currently homeless.

A few days later, Brenda and Buzz found themselves sleeping in their car in a Walmart parking lot. The security cameras and street lamps made them feel safer than they had in days.

Brenda and Buzz walked into Walmart, bought hundreds of dollars worth of food and supplies, and laid everything outside on the concrete.

However, the groceries on the ground weren’t for them — and it wasn’t long before Brenda and Buzz set off a chain of kindness no one expected.

Visit the Red Cross website for information on how you can help those affected by the deadly wildfires.
